IDLE WIVES are a 4 Piece Alt/Indie rock band from Kent, who began their musical journey in May 2023.

Inspired by bands like "The Amazons", "Biffy Clyro", "Catfish and The Bottlemen", "Nothing But Thieves" and "The 1975". IDLE WIVES have quickly earned themselves a passionate following due to their engaging  live shows. Including sold out headline shows at O2 Academy Islington, and Camden Assembly. 

Their music has been described as catchy and energetic, yet offers its own unique sound through the bands alternative influences, and Aaron's heartfelt rasp and passionate vocals. 

Listeners can expect a range of new sounds from the liveliness of "On My Dial", anthems of "Drift", "Fire Away" and "Fortune". to the emotional ballads of "Hidden Scars".

Notable Events

1. IDLE WIVES was officially announced on the 15th of November 2022

2.IDLE WIVES headlined O2 Academy 2 in Islington  on the 24th of March and received a very busy and very lively response from the crowd 

3, IDLE WIVES have been recording music with Dan Lucas at The Joplin House, who is an acclaimed engineer who comes recommended by industry professional. 

4. IDLE WIVES released their debut single "DRIFT" on May 12th along with a music video. It received great  reviews from the fan base. 

5. IDLE WIVES release their second single "On My Dial" June 30th

6. IDLE WIVES switched thing up with their emotional ballad of a third single, "Hidden Scars"

7. IDLE WIVES headlined a sold out Camden Assembly gig with a very high energy audience

8. IDLE WIVES return to upbeat music  "Fire Away" was featured on BBC Introducing with Abbie McCarthy. 

9. IDLE WIVES released their 5th single "Fortune" to much acclaim, gaining the attention of big stations like "Future Hits"

Pearl 830 hi hat with standard or quick release clutches, 18' Sabian AAX xtreme crash, 17' Sabian AAX stage crash, 18' Sabian HHX o-zone crash, 21' Sabian HHX grove ride, 19' Sabian AA holy china, 8' Sabian AAX air splash, 10' Sabian AAX splash, 14' Sabian FRX hi hats. 

Laptop - A Roland SPDsx is used to provide backing track to FOH speakers via main out left and right of the device. A click track Is sent to drums and bass via the headphone out connected to a Sennhieser IEM system.
